Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will represent Pakistan at the fourth and final nuclear security summit in Washington on Thursday. The summit will discuss the evolving threats and highlight steps to minimise the use of highly-enriched uranium.
Pakistan is one of the 53 states, besides four international observers - the United Nations, the International Atomic Energy Agency, Interpol and the European Union -invited to be part of the NSS process.
The summit also offered an opportunity for Pakistan to project its credentials in the nuclear field.
