Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has said that the provincial government is delegating power to the private sector to ensure its efficient role in the development process. He said that the private sector representatives have been inducted in various boards constituted for the improvement of different institutions.
This he said while presiding over a meeting of the provincial cabinet held at Civil Secretariat, here on Monday morning. Besides provincial ministers, special assistance and advisors to chief minister, chief secretary and administrative secretaries attended the meeting.
The meeting reviewed preparations for the next budget, self-employment scheme, professional tax, matters of the public service commission, Galyat Development Act and Hydel Development Funds. A number of decisions were taken in this regard in a meeting. On this occasion Fateha was offered for the victims of Lahore bomb blast as well.
The chief minister while giving directives about the upcoming budget declared that the next ADP would not be less in size from the current budget at any definition. Similarly, he said that 50% of the gas royalty would be spent on the provision of gas supply to the masses in the gas producing district of the province.
He further said that the rest of the 50% funds would be utilised in other sectors. The chief minister said that clean drinking water would be supplied to Karak district through establishment of filtration plants in the area. He directed high ups of the Finance Department for immediate release of the development funds to various departments.
