PIAF, LCCI condemn Lahore park attack

The Pakistan Industrial & Traders Associations Front (PIAF) has strongly condemned the ugly act of terrorism in Gulshan Iqbal Park a day earlier and urged the government for more fool proof security. The Association Chairman Irfan Iqbal Sheikh, Senior Vice chairman Tanveer Ahmed Sufi and Vice Chairman Khawaja Shahzeb Akram, after visiting the injured people at a local hospital, have asked the government to identify the flaws in the strategies made for securities for general public as repeated terrorist attacks were badly tarnishing image of the country.
They termed the attack a cowardly act to destabilise the country, aimed at creating an impression of an unsafe place in the eyes of the international community which has become safer place than few years ago. Meanwhile, the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) office bearers, President Sheikh Muhammad Arshad, Senior Vice President Almas Hyder and Vice President Nasir Saeed in their condolence message also expressed sense of sorrow and shock over the death of dozens of innocent people including women and children. They said that such cowardly act could not shake the nation's resolve against the terrorism.
They also underlined the need for uncompromising efforts against terrorists, and their supporters and financers. They also urged the government to take solid steps for effective implementation of National Action Plan as every life is precious and must be respected and protected.
