A three-day international convention organised by Pakistan Islamic Medical Association (PIMA), at Peshawar Medical College, concluded here on Sunday. Besides, health experts from various parts of the country, researchers from US, Australia, Jordan, and Malaysia along with other foreign countries participated in the moot. In the convention, health experts presented their latest research papers on medical tendencies, during different sessions. A scientific exhibition was also held during the convention.
Health experts, during the convention delivered lectures on various topics, and presented research papers, prominent among them, Professor Malak Badari, delivered lecture of role of Caliphs, Professor Musa Nooruddin on Polio eradication, Dr Fazal Zeeshan regarding protection of patient, Professor Muhammad Tayyab on medical treatment during accidents, Dr Sobiya Tahir on diabetes, Professor Muhammad Iqbal Khan on Medical values, Professor Muhammad Noor on cure of fatness, Dr Ayesha Abdullah on Medical communication, and Professor Khalid regarding precaution of usage of Anti-Biotic medicians.
During the convention, PIMA annual elections was also conduced, in which Associate Professor Dr Abdul Malik, Cardiovascular Surgery, Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar, elected as Central president of PIMA for next two years, while he along with newly-elected members of central executive council took oath on the occasion.
At the concluding sessions, Hafiz Muhammad Idress, world renowned psychiatric Malak Badari, Abdul Ghaffar Aziz, Professor Tahir Hakeem, Kamal Abu Shamsi, from US, and the newly elected president of Pakistan Islamic Medical Association addressed as keynote speakers.
Speakers, while addressing on the occasion, have viewed that the medical is a noble profession which has directly linked with humanity, therefore, health experts should perform their duties with professional skills, honesty, and devotion and extend full relief and services to ailing humanity.
Professor Tahir Hakeem during his speech has stressed the need of good attitude and behaviour of doctors with patients to efficient diagnosis and treatment of the diseases and urged the doctors to perform their duties and extend services to ailing patients with professional manner.
Kamal Abu Shamsi on the occasion said the health experts should be taking care of right of patients and would play their due role for reducing difficulty of patient along with keeping good attitude with them.
Abdul Ghaffar shed light on challenges and issues being faced by Muslim Ummah, and stated the conspiracies were being hatched to divide Muslims on different tactics.
While informing about external conspiracies regarding Middle East and Balochistan, he called upon the Muslim countries to be united to foil all kind of conspiracies and negative agenda against them.
