At least 25 persons were reportedly killed in Kohistan landslide while the main Karakoram Highway continued to close on seventh day. The torrential rains have led to storm and land sliding in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir, blocking land links of several areas meanwhile district authorities have launched operations to rescue the victims, reported a private news channel.
Landslide in Kandia, Kohistan left as many as 25 people including thirteen women dead while natives are also moving to safe havens. Work in-progress to remove debris from closed road after heavy rains and landslide in Shangla. The local authorities have also expressed possible risk of food dearth in rain and storm-hit locations whereas many trees fell down due to landslide in Shangla's Koch Karshat.
