Opening batsman Ahmed Shehzad Saturday said that changes being made after Pakistan performance in World Twenty20 mega event would have to be taken positively. "There is a lot of criticism against me for the last few days but I have not responded to it because I want to show my performance with bat that will be enough for my critics," he said while talking to media during his visit to the Jinnah Hospital where he alongwith Wasim Akram's wife Shaneira Akram enquired after the health of those injured in Gulshan Park bomb blast. Lahore Park blast claimed lives of 76 people and left more than 300 injured. About 30 injured are still under treatment in Jinnah Hospital.
Ahmed Shehzad and Shaneira Akram went to each injured and enquired about their health. They also enquired from doctors on duty about treatment facilities extended to the injured. They also distributed bouquet and some gifts to the injured on behalf of Wasim Akram Foundation. He said they are ready to do whatever they can for the help of those injured in this sad incident. He also acknowledged the services of Wasim Akram Foundation.
Talking to media, Ahmed Shehzad said that terrorism is country's biggest issue which needs to get eliminated as early as possible. He said we all must support the government in its efforts against the menace. He pledged support with the Pakistan Army. To a query, Ahmed said that Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is taking steps for the betterment of cricket in the country. He stated that he knows everything but avoids media interaction. Shehzad said there is nothing like conspiracies in the team. "I would show patience and would do everything for the country."
