As many as 650 business meetings took place between local exhibitors and international buyers during the TEXPO Pakistan which concluded, here on Sunday. According to Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) officials, the 4-mega event was fruitful for the country as the businessmen made deals worth $ 225 million.
Overall 230 companies-the leading exporters of the country had set up 320 stalls in 4 exhibition Halls and over 450 foreign buyers/importers from around 60 countries visited the event.
The exhibition brought together the top brands of Pakistan including Gul Ahmed, ChenOne, Afroze Textiles, Sappphire Textile, Shabbir Textile, Soorty International, Sitara Chemicals, Fashion Council Pakistan, Amir Adnan, FNKASIA, Zainab Chottani, Sanam Choudhry, Deepak Perwani, Nomi Ansari, Gulabo, Shahla Chatoor, Zaheer Abbas and Wardha Saleem with the likes of international big names like Olivier Lapidus from France, Marks and Spencer from London, B&C Collection from Belgium, Lotte Mart from South Africa, Shinatomo from Japan, ITO-Yokado from Japan, Yonex from Japan, Marubeni from Japan, Super Muffato from Brazil, PACINITI from Indonesia, SEPTWOLVES from China, Teddy S.P.A from Italy, Fifth Factory from Spain, Basic Resources from USA, Green Source from USA, GARCO MAY 10 from Vietnam, DET 10-10 from Vietnam, Firma-gamma FROM Russia and ELAND from South Korea.
A total of 650 business meetings took place between domestic exhibitors and international buyers. Besides these, delegations from 18 countries held high profile meetings with the Minister for Commerce, Secretary Commerce, C.E. TDAP and Secretary TDAP as well as with the leading trade chambers of Pakistan like FPCCI and KCCI.
They said that the reported outcome of business deals which have been materialised so far amounts to approximately $ 225 million, based on which it is expected that the actual business generated may exceed from $ 500 million, they concluded.
