A one day training workshop titled 'Training workshop on preparation of departmental Self-Assessment Reports' (SARs) was organised by Quality Assurance and Enhancement Cell (QA&E C) of University of Wah on 06 April at UW Seminar Hall to formally commence the Self-Assessment Process of the University as per requirements of the Higher Education Commission (HEC). Air Cdre Abdul Wahab Motla (Retd), Director QEC, was the resource person for the workshop.
Professor Dr Khaliq Ur Rehman Shad, Vice Chancellor, University of Wah, Programme Team (PT) members from all departments and faculty members attended the session.
The workshop comprised two sessions. The resource person gave an introduction to quality, the need for quality enhancement and the history of quality enhancement in Pakistan and by HEC in the first session. The Programme Team (PT) members were comprehensively trained in the second session in the Self-Assessment Process (SAP) laid down by the HEC, the eight criteria of Self-Assessment and preparation of departmental Self-Assessment Reports (SARs). In the end, Professor Dr Khaliq Ur Rehman Shad, Vice Chancellor University of Wah thanked the resource person and appreciated the efforts of the QA&E Cell members as well as the participants towards making the workshop a success. He also urged the PT members and faculty to diligently pursue the compilation of Self-Assessment Reports (SARs) of their respective departments to meet the HEC Self-Assessment requirements. In the end, certificates were distributed among the participants. The workshop concluded with the Vice Chancellor, University of Wah presenting the University of Wah souvenir to the resource person.-PR
