In connection with the World Street Children Day, the SPARK in collaboration with civil society organised a big awareness rally in front of Hyderabad Press Club on Tuesday. Addressing the participants of the rally, the leaders of the civil society including Zahid Thebo, Akash Bajeer, Dr Dodo Mehran, Dr Ashok Thama and Punhal Sariyo said that according to NADRA statistics, 60 percent children in Pakistan are not getting education at primary level.
Despite the passage of 18th Amendment, they said that no education policy has been announced in Sindh from 2010 to 2016, raising questions about the performance of the government. They said that SPARK has launched an awareness campaign in different parts of Hyderabad under which efforts would be made to enrol the children in the schools.
