The government on Saturday allowed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to hold a rally at F-9 Park on its foundation day on April 24. An official source said the Interior Ministry has granted conditional permission to PTI for holding a rally at F-9 Park on the occasion of its foundation day.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Interior, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has given a green signal to Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration with respect to PTI's public gathering at F-9 Park. He asked the ICT administration to hold a meeting with the PTI leadership and resolve amicably all matters related to the rally to be held on April 24.
The interior minister directed ICT administration that no hurdles be created in the way of the PTI's public meeting. He also directed ICT administration that guarantee should be obtained from the PTI leaders that the participants of the rally would peacefully disperse after the end of prescribed time. He also directed ICT administration to ensure that the rally would not create hurdles in the daily routine of residents of the city. It merits mentioning here that the ICT administration issued a letter to PTI leadership a few days ago and had refused to allow PTI to hold a rally at F-9 Park.
