A delegation of Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) visited Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi office Idara Noor-e-Haq and called on its chief Engr. Naeem-ur-Rehman, here on Monday. The leaders discussed the issues relating to the city, politics and of mutual interests. On the occasion, PSP delegation, comprising Raza Haroon and Waseem Aftab, invited JI leaders to participate in their convention to be held on April 24.
Later talking to the media, JI Karachi chief Engr. Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman welcomed the delegation and said that political dialogue, connections and harmony should be promoted, despite ideological differences. This would be in the interest of country as well as the city, he viewed. Engr. Naeem further said that the invitation was a positive step and the matter of participation would be discussed among party ranks, however, he continued that the continuation of political process was admirable.
Raza Haroon stated that being a religio-political party, JI was an undeniable reality of the metropolis and had played an exemplary and praise worthy role in the development of the economic hub of Pakistan. "We want to initiate new efforts for harmony and we don't want to convert the difference of opinions into hostility," said Haroon. He added that PSP has also been inviting other political parties of the city to attend the party's convention.-PR
