The two-day Funfair organised by the Bureau of STAGS in collaboration with the Department of Public Administration opened on Tuesday 19th April, outside Arts Faculty Building University of Sindh Jamshoro. The exhibitor students were preparing for the big day for weeks. Both the male and female students and some companies from Hyderabad have set up elaborate stalls to attract visitors. The festival promises lots of fun for the students and visitors on the campus. In the games area there have been kept pencil, card & arrows games, magic show, face painting and clowns.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Abida Taherani inaugurated the festival which was highly participated by students, families and faculty members. More than 30 stalls which include eateries, handicrafts, duplicates, trousers, stylish kurtaz, jeans, lady shirts, books, Blood Bank, handmade jewellery, fabrics and gift shops.
Talking to the students, the vice-chancellor said that SU was concentrating on imparting higher education and conducting research on its campus and so as to extra curriculum activities in a bid to keep students healthier and active. She said that she was happy to see a lot of students both male and female taking part in the festival and selling different brands and eateries. The Bureau of STAGS of the varsity has set new records in terms of participation and visitor flow in its earlier festivals held on the campus from time to time. The festival provides dearly needed entertainment to the students in a very secure environment. The organisers have made elaborate arrangements for this mega event.
