The Peshawar High Court on Wednesday ordered suspension of salaries of Home Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and provincial police chief for not submitting their reply in Army Public School attack case. The two-member bench of the PHC comprising Chief Justice Peshawar High Court Mazher Alam Miankhel and Justice Muhammad Daud Khan also expressed dissatisfaction over reply of the provincial government and asked it to re-submit the reply with substantial record within next 10-day.
Deputy Secretary Attorney General Manzoor Khalil represented the federation while Additional Advocate General Qaiser Ali Shah appeared in the court on behalf of KP government. The bench headed by Chief Justice PHC heard the plea field by the parents of the children killed in a terrorist attack on Army Public School in Peshawar and noted that except the federal government, the police and provincial government had failed to submit their reports in due time.
It is to mention here that the PHC had ordered federal and provincial governments and KP police during the previous hearing to submit the investigation record and reply to the court but except the federation the KP government and police could not submit their response.
The Additional Advocate General Qaiser Ali Shah representing the KP government sought more time from the court for submission of record, however the two-member bench ordered him to submit the reply within next 10-day. The petition in APS attack was field by the families of the APS victims who had sought constitution of judicial commission into the carnage and fixing of responsibility.
