Siemens, Germany, and Sindh Board of Investment (SBI) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the development of smart grid system. According to details, Naheed Memon, chairperson, SBI, along with a delegation of Sindh government visited the head office of Siemens in Berlin, where SBI and Siemens Managing Director Helmut Von Struve signed the MoU for mutual cooperation in up-gradation, modernisation, maintenance, distribution and smart grid system development as well as further strengthening of infrastructure.
The members of DIHK, the Association of German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, also showed a keen interest in investment in Sindh during a meeting with the SBI delegation at the office of DIHK. Naheed Memon gave a briefing to the DIHK members about investment opportunities, incentives and facilities offered to the foreign investors by Sindh government.
She told the DIHK members that excellent investment opportunities existed in energy, agriculture, education, health, solid waste management and transport sectors in Sindh. Later, the SBI delegation was told that the DIHK was an association comprising over three million registered companies.
