A lecture on "Fundamentals of Road Safety" has been organised by the Department of Psychology in collaboration with Bureau of STAGS, University of Sindh. The event was held at Shaikh Ayaz Auditorium, Arts Faculty Building. Pro vice Chancellor Professor Dr Aslam Parvez and Professor Dr Nagina Parveen, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences presented a bouquet and souvenir to the worthy guest Dr Waliullah Dal - DIG Motorway Police Sindh. Dr Nagina welcomed the speaker in the Alma mater.
Dr Waliullah Dal in his lecture stressed the audience to follow traffic rules in every circumstance. He reiterated the importance of education and announced the expansion of job opportunities in Motorway Police due to China-Pak corridor. He motivated the bright and talented students of the varsity to apply for well-paid and dignified jobs. He further said no society is considered civilised until its citizens are conscious and bound of traffic rules anywhere and everywhere in the country. Dr Dal also entertained questions from the audience.
Professor Dr Aslam Parvez in his presidential remarks applauded the professionalism of Motorway Police and offered the expertise of the varsity if required. He said the university has been producing the best possible lot in academic researches and if the findings of their research are tried to apply in the true spirit, it would definitely produce the best results in any field related with human beings. Sheeraz Ilyas Shaikh also presented his lecture on Traffic Psychology explained how the principles found in the said discipline can be utilised to bring desired results in the road users.
