Inquiry into BoK controversy demanded

22 Apr, 2016

Leader of the Opposition in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, Maulana Lutf-ur-Rehman on Thursday said that the allegations of the Managing Director (MD) Bank of Khyber (BoK) against provincial finance minister are correct. Therefore, he called for inquiring into the allegations under supervision of independent experts.
In a statement issued here, he said that on one hand, the PII chief wanted judicial commission headed by the Chief Justice of Supreme Court to conduct an inquiry into Panama Leaks. But on the other, he is conducting an inquiry against the provincial minister through the representatives of the provincial government, which is not understandable.
He criticised the PTI chief for double standard and demanded an impartial inquiry against the provincial minister under the supervision of the Chief Justice of Peshawar High Court to probe political based and unnecessary recruitments in the bank to bring the performance of the provincial government before the people of the province.
