Four men suspected of killing Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Special Assistant on Minority Affairs, Sardar Soran Singh were arrested from Buner district on Saturday, police said. According to police, four suspects have been arrested. Three of them are from Buner while one suspect is from Swabi area. First Information Report (FIR) has not been registered due to legal complications as yet.
According to sources, an FIR will be registered after dealing with legal complications and collection of evidence from the crime scene. Singh, a doctor by profession and member of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, was shot dead near his residence in Buner district on Friday.
According to police, Sardar Soran Singh was returning home after a walk when he was targeted by unidentified gunmen riding on motorbikes. The minority affairs minister died instantly. Banned Taliban group claimed responsibility for the attack. In a press statement on Friday, PTI Chairman Imran Khan expressed his shock at the murder of Sardar Soran Singh and directed his party's government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to hold an inquiry.
