The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Monday allowed the five detained alleged terrorists to meet their family members in a sub-jail as per jail manual. Raheel Lodhi, Rehan-ud-din, Wajeeh-ud-din, Nadir Khan and Muneer are currently in Rangers 90-day preventive detention over their alleged involvement in the offences came within the ambit of Anti-Terrorism Act.
The family members of the arrested suspects approached the SHC requesting it to direct the authorities concerned to arrange their meeting with family members. While disposing of the petition, SHC bench, headed by Justice Irfan Saadat, directed the authorities concerned to arrange the meeting of all the suspects in sub jail, where they are being investigated, with their families as per jail manual. Earlier, the Rangers had told Anti-Terrorism Court that they had credible information about suspects' involvement in target killing, extortion and other offences.
