Slow trade activity was witnessed on the wholesale grain market on Thursday due to lack of motivating factors, dealers said. On the grams side, yellow peas Russia lost Rs 300 to Rs 5400 and yellow peas Dall Russia followed same pattern, shedding Rs 200 to Rs 6100, other items maintained overnight levels, they said. On the rice sector, Irri-6 Sindh low type gained Rs 60 to Rs 3250 and the best type was unchanged at Rs 3350, Irri-white (broken) inferior quality was down by Rs 100 to Rs 2700 while the good type was unchanged at Rs 2600, they said.
On the seeds side, castor seed Lasbela was up by Rs 100 to Rs 2100, castor seeds Sindh quoted higher at Rs 2000 and castor seeds Lakhra picked up Rs 100 to Rs 2200, cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh quoted at Rs 2050, they said. On the cereals side, Gur was higher by Rs 500 to Rs 6500-7500, other commodities did not move any side in the process of trading, they said.
