Muttahida Qaumi Movement's (MQM) Convener in London Nadeem Nusrat demanded the federal and provincial governments to immediately recover Farooq Durrani; newly elected councillor and member zonal committee Mirpurkhas from the forceful disappearance after his arrest on April 22 by the law enforcement agencies (LEAs). In a statement issued from London Secretariat, Nadeem Nusrat said that Durrani is one of the most senior workers of the MQM in Mirpurkhas and has no criminal record whatsoever.
He said that the LEAs arrested him at a raid on his house and forced him to disappear for last week or so, while neither his family or party is informed regarding his whereabouts. He said that his family and other more than hundred disappeared workers' families having serious concerns over their loved ones and said that to stop violating the Constitution and rights of the people.
He also demanded the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah to immediately order to release MQM's innocent worker Farooq Durrani and even if the LEAs have any evidence against him should produce him before the court and let it decide right and wrong.
