Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) Anwar-ul-Haq Yousafzai has termed the staff of the company a precious asset, which despite sizzling heat and freezing cold rendering remarkable services for the country. In a message for Pesco workers in connections with May Day he paid rich tribute to the workers who sacrificed their lives while discharging their professional duties for smooth provision of power supply to the consumers and prayed for the departed soul of the martyrs.
He said that Pesco has taken all-out steps for provision of best possible facilities to the customers and has started number of developmental projects so that customers' problems could be addressed with the cooperation of Pesco staff. He urged the staff to follow the examples set by Islam and the martyrs' of May and served the nation and the company with dedication, zeal and national spirit so that the company and the country could be put on the path of progress and development.
Pesco chief urged officials to use all their energies in order to reduce the line losses and enhance recovery so that Pesco could be made a profitable company, in addition to a customer-friendly company. Chief Executive Pesco emphasized to curb the kunda culture from the society because illegal use of electricity is not only the root cause of Pesco's deficit, increase of line losses but it is also the main cause of overloading of distribution system, resultantly the customers have to face inconvenience and also bring bad name to Pesco.
