Minister for Inter-Provincial Co-ordination Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada on Sunday said Panama Papers Leaks was an international conspiracy to de-stabilise Pakistan.
China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), which was a game changer for the country, was progressing but some foreign elements levelled baseless allegations against the current democratic government, to halt the project, he added.
He said labourers would benefit the most from the CPEC as it would reduce unemployment by generating jobs, besides alleviating poverty.
The minister was addressing a public gathering here in connection with International Labour Day organised by Pakistan Worker Federation (PWF) with collaboration of CBA unions of All Pakistan Sports Board, Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Pakistan Television (PTV). Riaz Pirzada said the government was taking steps to resolve the issues being faced by labourers. He said the government had increased basic pay of labourers as they were backbone of the country's economy. The minister appreciated Islamabad's labourers, especially CDA workers for making it one of the most beautiful capitals of the world.
He said the government would not take any step against labourers and take them on board for any decision. Member National Assembly (MNA) Malik Ibrar said labourers and workers played a key role in strengthening the national economy. ."
