The Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) has issued set of instructions for private schools qualifying the quality assurance test for educational partnership in expansion phase nine of Foundation Assisted School (FAS).
PEF sponsored FAS program is the public private partnership based scheme of providing free schooling to the deserving students enrolled in partner schools.
This set of instructions has been issued through a departmental circular issued by the PEF Director (FAS) Zahid Ali here today.
It has been disclosed in the circular that monthly payment to the tune of Rs 600 per student will be paid for middle level schools. PEF will give Rs 700 for matric (arts) and Rs 800 for matric (science) level students to its FAS partners. This, however, will be paid with the monthly payment of May 2016. The schools are apprised that maximum enrolment ceiling, which earlier was fixed 200 for middle and secondary level schools, will be enhanced to 500 students for the schools qualifying the pre quality assurance test.
However, this increase will be applicable to the monthly payment of May 2016.
The new partner schools are directed to give admissions according to their capacity while all PEF rules and regulations will be applicable to them. The partner schools are warned that no amount of money can be collected from the students under any head including transportation charges, paper fund, fines, stationery, tours, admission, registration and tuition fee etc. In case of any financial involvement with the students, PEF reserves the right to impose fine or cancel the partnership agreement, the circular warned.
The partner schools are also directed to deposit all relevant papers required for partnership with the foundation maximum by May 05.
