The big day finally arrived for Apple where the tech giant took the veil off of its new iPhones, Apple Watch and more at its big keynote event held yesterday in California.
Turning most of the rumors true, Apple revealed three new iPhones, Apple Watch Series 4, iOS 12 and more at its annual keynote event. Here are the most important things revealed by the tech giant on September 12, 2018.
iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max
Apple introduced two new versions of its last year’s iPhone X. The phones are called iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max, ditching the old school ‘Plus’ name.
iPhone XS replaces iPhone X with a 5.8-inch screen, but overall has a similar design to the last year’s model. iPhone XS Max on the other hand comes with a 6.5-inch ‘Super Retina’ OLED display. Both the phones have a new ‘A12 Bionic’ chip that will make the iPhone powerful than ever.
Also, the phones feature two 12MP lenses on the back with a new feature called ‘Smart HDR’. The feature blends multiple different image frames into a single image, making pictures look sharper and have more natural light. The cameras also feature an option of ‘adjustable bokeh’ where user can adjust how blurry or sharp the picture background is.
Both the phones come in three colors; gold, space gray and silver with three storage options, 64GB, 256GB and for the first time, 512GB storage. What’s more interesting is, the phones also support a dual-SIM card system. The phones comes in with Face ID and the notch design too.
Pre-orders and store availability will start from September 14. Where iPhone XS will start with a price tag of $999, the plus sized iPhone XS Max will initiate at $1,099 with 64GB storage and $1,499 with 512GB storage, reported Business Insider.
iPhone XR
iPhone XR is the low cost iPhone coming in six mesmerizing colors; white, black, blue, yellow, orange, and red. The phone has a 6.1-inch LCD screen. For internal specs, the phone has the same A12 Bionic chip as in the other two models. However, iPhone XR is deprived of the 3D Touch and features a single 12MP rear camera. iPhone XR too contains Face ID and the classic notch.
The iPhone is priced at $750 for 64GB storage and $900 for 256GB storage, but will arrive in stores on October 26 with pre-orders starting from October 19.
