By-polls on 12th: PTI candidate demands army deployment

PTI candidate for by-polls of constituency PK-8, Shahzad Khan has demanded for deployment of Pakistan Army at the sensitive polling stations during by-polls, which is scheduled to be held on May 12. He was speaking at a news conference at Peshawar press club on Thursday, wherein a candidate of PTI ideological workers alliance, Yousaf Khalil announced withdrawal in his favour and rejoined the group.
Yousaf Khalil along with his supporters, on the occasion ensured to provide their full support to Shahzad Khan and expressed the hope that the party would win the elections. Shahzad Khan informed that Yousaf Khalil had announced its withdrawal following development of consensus through a Jirga comprising elders of PTI, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak, and others.
He said that the PTI was the only political party, which believed in corruption-free Pakistan and a complete change to the masses, alleging that other political parties did nothing for the nation of the country except plundering. PTI MNA Sajid Nawaz Khan lauded the efforts of the Jirga in this regard. He also appealed the voters of PK-8 to cast their votes in favour of PTI so that their future could be flourished.
