'Government should take steps towards improving ties with Afghanistan'

Chairman of Qaumi Watan Party, Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao urged the government to take practical steps to strengthen cordial and sustainable relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan. Sherpao said this while speaking at inaugural ceremony of various development projects in Tehsil Shabqadar, district Charsadda on Saturday. He said, "Peaceful and prosperous Afghanistan is essential for durable and everlasting stability in the region. Both Pakistan and Afghanistan should take joint steps for elimination of terrorism.
KP Senior Minister and QWP provincial chairman, Sikandar Khan Sherpao, Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Technical Education, Arshad Khan Umarzai, former legislator, Babar Ali Khan, QWP Secretary Information, Tariq Ahmad Khan, Secretary Political Training, Asad Afridi Advocate, Muhammad Nisar Khan Advocate, tehsil nazameen, Zafar Ali Khan, Yayha Jan Mohmand, Muhammad Jan Gagyani, Shahid Khan and many others attended the ceremony. QWP chief urged the government to focus on elimination of terrorism and welfare of the poor masses. "QWP will continue its struggle to raise voice for rights of Pakhtuns at every forum, and would support policies and steps", Sherpao said.
He said party's main objective is to serve the people of this region, particularly Pakhtuns. For the durable and sustainable peace, he said it was essential to develop cordial and brotherly relations with neighbouring Afghanistan, and urged the government to take practical steps in this regard. KP Senior Minister and QWP provincial chairman, Sikandar Khan Sherpao said the party is only political force, which had always played active role in resolution of Pakhtuns issues.
