The Sunni Ittehad Council held a big rally named Roshan Pakistan on the Mall Road here on Sunday and called upon Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to clear his position in the Parliament with regard to Panama Leaks Papers.
Addressing the rally, the SIC Chief Muhammad Sarwat Ejaz Qadri demanded that strict action should be taken against the defaulters of the bank loans, people involved in corruption and tax evasion. He said exemplary accountably would be held of all those who plundered the national wealth and laundered it abroad to buy costly properties.
Amid slogans of go Nawaz go, down with corruption, Pak Army Zindabad, Qadri said that Sunni Ittehad Council would rename Raiwind to "Mustafa Abad" and struggle for enforcement of Islamic System to rid the country of all manifestations and forms of terrorism and corruption.
He announced programme of party rallies In Hyderabad on 15th May, and Rawalpindi on 26th May. Earlier leaders of SIC reached the venue of the rally from Data Darbar in a procession chanting slogans against the Prime Minister, corruption and terrorism.
