Four-hour pen-down PMS officers' strike continues for 8th day

The strike of PMS Officers Association continued for eight consecutive days on Wednesday. All the 700 PMS Officers observed the strike. The striking officers tied black bands around their arms and observed 4 hours pen-down from 9:00 am to 1.00 pm. However, the concerned quarters have yet not responded appropriately. A meeting of the core committee of the PMS Officers Association was held which was also participated by other secretariat associations including class-IV, stenographers, drivers, and superintendents associations.
All the associations extended support to the cause being the fundamental issues of all provincial employees from Class-IV to senior PCS Officers. According to an office bearer of PMS Officers Association, the strike will continue till complete resolution of both the administrative and legislative issues. The future course of action regarding the strike will be decided by the said core committee. The next meeting of the association will be held on coming Monday. In case the concerned quarters did not respond, a complete pen-down will be announced.
