ATC extends physical remand of sister's killer

Another six-day extension in the physical remand of the sister's killer was granted to the police on Thursday. Mominabad police produced Hayat before the administrative judge of the An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) and requested the extension of remand since it was required for further interrogation. Hayat stabbed his 17-year old sister, Sumera in their house in Karachi's Orangi town area after allegedly found her talking to a boy.
In the video made after the incidents, it can be seen that the girl was lying at her door step trembling with pain and Hayat is also sitting beside her. The case was registered at Mominabad police station under the clause of murder and then Section 7 of Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997 has also been added in the FIR. Earlier, the accused was presented before the judicial magistrate but after inclusion of Anti-Terrorism Act in the FIR, he was produced in the ATC.
