The Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design has become a full member of Cumulus, the International Association of Universities and Colleges of Art and Design. The membership was given in a conference in the British city of Nottingham which ran from April 26 to May 2, said the Vice Chancellor of the Pakistan Institute of Fashion Design, Hina Tayyaba, while addressing a press conference on Thursday.
She said that after becoming the member of Cumulus, students' research works would be published in international journals and this would also help enhance ties with international institutes, adding that students and teachers would learn a lot from this. She also said the university had established a student start-up business centre with the support of the HEC and international donors and her institute was the first and only one from Pakistan being given a full membership.
