Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Foreign Affairs said Pakistan was keen to strengthen relations with Argentina in areas including trade, science and technology, energy, education and culture. He said this in a meeting with the newly appointed Ambassador of Argentina Ivan Ivanissevich who paid a courtesy call on him here on Friday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
He welcomed the ambassador and expressed confidence that he would endeavour to enhance the existing level of bilateral relations between the two countries. The SAPM also briefed the ambassador on the policies of the present government and underlined that 2016 being the 65th year of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, could be used as an opportunity to give a fresh impetus to bilateral relations.
