NHMP to pick school pupils as volunteers

The National Highways and Motorway Police have launched a special campaign to pick school students as volunteers to help it communicate with the public on road and pedestrian safety measures. A ceremony took place at Marakah in Lahore on Tuesday, where Sector Commander Senior Superintendent of Police Masroor Alam Kolachi doled out his motorway police T-shirts and caps to volunteer students.
In his address, he said, "Maintaining traffic discipline and controlling accidents is the foremost responsibility of the National Highways and Motorway Police. In this connection, we have engaged the community to educate the public about road safety and school children will help us in our mission. The National Highways and Motorway Police have also displayed banners and panaflexes."
