Education in public sector more vital than private sector: Dr Kalhoro

18 May, 2016

One-day teachers training workshop was held at Syed Pannah Ali Shah Model School, Sindh University Colony, which was presided over by Professor Dr Muhammad Siddique Kalhoro, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Sindh University Laar Campus, Badin. Offering his reflections on this occasion, Dr Kalhoro observed that English language today has become most widely used language in the world. This is the reason, he emphasised, that university of Sindh is taking keen interest in organising workshops to better incapacitate teachers of the school towards proficiency in English.
Drawing comparison, he further maintained that education in public sector institutions was more vital than in the private sector, as the public sector assimilated greater number of students in the country. Dr Kalhoro also opined that a huge number of movers and shakers in all walks of life in Pakistan sought education at the government schools. He stressed teachers to devise teaching methods as per student psyche. Dr Farida Shaikh, Principal, SPAS Model School presented detailed report on co-curricular activities of the school throughout the year, and warmly welcomed all guests and participants.
