Robotic competition SSUET secures first position

Students of Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology secured first position in all three categories of RoboCom 16. The event Robocom 16 was organised by Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology at the campus in which around 50 teams from different universities and academic institutes participated. It included DHA SUFFA, PAF KIET, FUUAST and Dawood University, etc. The first event of RoboCom was held in 2012 and this is the 4th event of the series.
It is for the first time that Sir Syed University organised Quad-o-Race competition in Pakistan. The event was split into three parts, Line Following Robots, Robowar and Quad-o-Race. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest Jawaid Anwar, Chancellor of Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology, said robotic technology has enhanced the pace of development and realising its importance, we are focusing on this technology at the campus. Sir Syed University participated in different robotic competitions and secured top positions for their extra ordinary skills and practical application of their knowledge.
He stressed on holding such competitions as they help students to learn state of the art craft and offer them an opportunity to update their skill in technological advancement. He appreciated the creatively charged students who successfully transformed their knowledge into innovative projects.-PR
