Turkish Airlines, TÜRSAB, TAAP arrange workshop

The Turkish Airlines, TÜRSAB (the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies and the Travel Agents Association of Pakistan have arranged a one-day business-to-business workshop not only to promote the tourism industry between Turkey and Pakistan but also the bilateral relations.
As many as 23 Turkish agency representatives participated in Wednesday's workshop with their Pakistani counterparts during a daylong event, which was also attended by members from the Travel Agents Association of Pakistan. A memorandum of understanding was also signed between the Travel Agents Association of Pakistan and TÜRSAB at the closing ceremony. Turkish Consul General Murat Onart was chief guest.
"The event was aimed at increasing traffic for Turkey as around 80 percent of the total airline traffic is beyond Turkey and only 20 percent is the transit passenger for us. Therefore, they are striving to escalate passengers' load for Turkey. Turkey is not only Istanbul; we have other historical cities as well." Turkish Airlines General Manager, Fatih Atacan Temel said. Sharing his views at the closing ceremony, the diplomat said his job in Pakistan was to strengthen the bilateral relations and provide all the support in achieving the same.
