Punjab government to celebrate 65 years of Pak-China friendship

Punjab government will celebrate completion of 65 years of unprecedented friendship between Pakistan and China in an enthusiastic manner tomorrow 19th May. It was decided in a meeting presided over by Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, here Tuesday. The ceremonies will start from May 19 and continue till May 23. Besides seminars about the strong ties of friendship between Pakistan and China, a pictorial exhibition will also be arranged.
Addressing the meeting, the Chief Minister said that completion of 65 years of Pak-China friendship will be celebrated in a befitting manner. Pakistan and China are bound together in lasting relations of friendship. It has stood the test of time and China has helped Pakistan in the times of need. Pak-China friendship is exemplary, he added. Shahbaz Sharif said China has supported Pakistan in the times of test and trial and the Pakistani nation is thankful to the Chinese leadership.
He said work is continuing on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor projects speedily which are a guarantee to progress and prosperity of Pakistan, Provision of funds by China for mega Lahore Orange Line Metro Train project is a historic step. Kh. Ahmad Hasaan, Commissioner Lahore Division, Secretary Information, CCPO Lahore, DCO Lahore and DG Protocol Punjab were present on the occasion.
