Punjab University Institute of Agricultural Science (IAGS) organised a one-day national workshop on "Alternate Crops for the Future of Pakistan". Dean Faculty of Life Sciences, Professor Dr Naeem Khan was the chief guest while Director-General, Agriculture Extension Punjab, Dr Anjum Ali, Chairman, Department of Zoology, Professor Dr Javed Iqbal Qazi, Director IAGS, Professor Dr Muhammad Saleem Haider and more than 100 scientists and students from all over Pakistan participated in the workshop.
On this occasion Professor Dr Shahzad M A Basra, Dr Muhammad Bilal Chattha, Dr Hafiz Muhammad Akram, Mobeen Ahad Khan and Muhammad Sajid Iqbal Sindhu were guest speakers. Dr Muhammad Naeem Khan appreciated the efforts of guest speakers and organisers of the workshop. Later Dr Saleem thanked all speakers and participants and announced to hold such workshops/seminars in future.
