Minister flays opposition's 'Panama-gate' stance

Ports and Shipping Minister Senator Kamran Michael Wednesday termed the stance of opposition in parliament on Panama-gate issue as a conspiracy to derail democracy in the country. In a statement issued here, the federal minister blasted PTI chief Imran Khan and other opposition parties for derailing the country's path to development and prosperity. He said today internal and not external dangers were threatening the country's stability more.
The PML-N leader said the "container politics" of "Tsunami Khan" had already inflicted a damage of $11 billion on the country's trade and investment and the PTI chief now was risking multibillion dollars China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project. A separate statement from Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC) said Senator Michael inaugurated heat-stroke outlet established and managed by PNSC at the Corporation's reception. The minister participated in distribution of chilled water amongst the pedestrian in the presence of Chairman PNSC Arif Elahi and Brigadier Rashid Siddiqui. The PNSC chairman announced opening of such outlets under Corporate Social Responsibility on Native Jetty Bridge for pedestrians which would also spread awareness on protection against heat-stroke.
