Mickey Arthur to supervise Kakul fitness camp by the month end

20 May, 2016

As fitness camp gears up at the Kakul's Army School of Physical Training, Pakistan's newly-named head coach, Mickey Arthur, is expected to join the national team by the end of this month. The camp, arranged by the Pakistan Cricket Board, saw 30 players going through tough training which also exposed the weaknesses of some players such as Yasir Shah, Hafeez and Shoaib Malik.
Head coach Arthur believes the boot camp is a good move, saying it will help improve chemistry between the players. "When you train really hard together, you build team spirit and camaraderie and I feel it's a really good idea," he said on Thursday. He has already made his intentions clear to block out any external influence that he would have to face during his new role as coach of the mercurial side.
Pakistan will play England in four Tests, five one-day internationals and a T20 international between July 14 and September 7. The tour will also see Pakistan take on the International Cricket Council associate member nation Ireland for two-match one-day series sandwiched between the Test and one-day series against England.
