Sindh government launches interest-free loan for poor women

Sindh Government has launched an interest free loan for poor women in five divisions of the province Rs 50,000/ (fifty thousand rupees) per head to be recovered in three (03) years. The scheme will continue to benefit the poor women year-by-year. Chief Secretary disclosed this to the newsmen.
Chief Secretary Sindh Muhammad Siddique Memon noted this, on the eve of first balloting for 200 candidates, 40 form each division of Hyderabad, Sukkur, Larkana, Mirpurkhas and Benazirabad. In the first phase, one crore rupees has been allocated, out of total rupees 13 crore to run the scheme in the forthcoming years continuously.
Secretary Women Development Aijaz Mangi and Secretary General Administration Sajid Jamal Abro were also present. Under the interest free loans the poor women of the province may establish small scale business like tailoring shops, beauty parlours, live-Stock, General and Grocery Store etc.
