Opposition demands allocation of uplift funds in Punjab PA

Opposition taking advantage from arrival of Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif in the Punjab Assembly 21st session here on Wednesday asked provincial government to allocate development funds to them.
Opposition leader said that they have not received their funds despite a number of requests. Law Minister Rana Sanaullah, on the occasion, dilated that they have asked opposition a number of times to talk to the Punjab chief minister regarding their allocation but they had failed to do so.
The Punjab Assembly in the session during the day completed its parliamentary year of 100 days. The session is likely to be prorogued shortly.
There was a discussion on Annual Reports of Punjab Pension Fund for the year 2010-11 and 2011-12 on the occasion. These reports have already been laid in the house.
In reply to a query on Services and General Administration, Parliamentary Secretary said that policy regularisation notification of contract employees (grade 1 to 15) was issued on March 1, 2013.
In reply to another question, the Parliamentary Secretary stated that there were a total of 310 residences in GOR- 3. He said that 114 were in category-B and 196 in category-C. The Parliamentary Secretary said that there were only four residences of category -A in GOR-2 Lahore. The house quorum was pointed in the session a number of times. The chair later adjourned the session.
