PML-N holds public gathering in Lyari

Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) on Saturday held a public gathering in Lyari after winning a considerable number of seats in the recently held local body elections in the city. Although, workers who converged at the historic - Molvi Usman Park came from all over Karachi, political analysts say a very low turnout was witnessed at the gathering.
Federal Minister for Water and Power, Abid Sher Ali and PML-N Senator, Mushaidullah were highlighted to be guest of honour on the occasion, but they did not turn-up at the PML-N political event, organised in Lyari after a lapse several years. Addressing the gathering President PML-N Sindh, Ismail Raho said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif made the country strong by making it a nuclear power state. Raho said, PML-N has brought peace to Lyari. "It was Nawaz Sharif who started the operation against criminals and rid the citizens from their clutches".
Raho also said, "Nawaz Sharif preferred to carry out nuclear tests despite threats by foreign powers." He said the PML-N government is striving hard to overcome the energy crises and "We have initiated a number of power projects to end energy crises," he also said China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is vital for the economic development of Pakistan.
Criticising Pakistan People's Party (PPP) representatives, Rao said, PPP representatives of Lyari had gifted nothing to the dwellers of Lyari but dead bodies. PML-N Senator, Nehal Hashmi on the occasion said that Lyari is facing a step motherly attitude as the PPP has nothing more to offer to the people of Lyari. He said, prime minister has issued funds of Rs 2 billion for the completion of development projects in Lyari and added, Nawaz Sharif has directed the Sindh Government to immediately complete the K-IV water project and resolve the water crises immediately. Shah Muhammad Shah, PML-N Sindh Vice-President, MPA Humayon Khan and Soorat Thebo also spoke on the occasion.
