Legislators briefed about law and order and uplift projects

Parliamentarians were briefed on law and order situation and ongoing development projects in district Faisalabad at a meeting of District Co-ordination Committee at the DCO Office Committee Room under the Chairmanship of MNA Haji Akram Ansari.
Punjab Minister for Minority Affairs Khalil Tahir Sindhu, other parliamentarians Mian Abdul Mannan, Mian Muhammad Farooq, Dr Nisar Jat, Chaudhry Asim Nazir, Sh. Ejaz Ahmad, Mian Tahir Jamil, Begum Najma Afzal, Madiha Rana, Begum Suryia Nasim, Faqir Hussain Dogar, Haji Khalid Saeed, Azad Ali Tabassum, Arif Mehmud Gill, Haji Ilyas Ansari, Jafar Ali Hocha, Rai Usman Kharal, Naeemullah Gill and others participated in the meeting. DCO Salman Ghani, CPO Afzal Ahmad Kausar and the CTO Arif Shahbaz Khan gave briefing on development activities, law and order situation and traffic management.
The parliamentarians stressed upon the speedily completion of development schemes and said development programme should be completed according to the priorities of dire need of basic amenities for public. They said that the mega projects of Canal Express Way, Jhal Chowk Underpass and Children Hospital were the gifts of CM Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and appreciated the keen interest of CM Punjab in the development and progress of Faisalabad district.
They expressed their satisfaction over the pace of construction work of mega projects. The parliamentarians also lauded the vision of CM Punjab regarding establishment of front desk in the police stations and said that Thana culture would be discouraged through this beneficial step. They appreciated the new concepts and measures of CTO for the traffic management with modern technology.
They gave proposals for improving the law & order situation and better implementation of development projects.
DCO Salman Ghani informed that the Jhal Chowk Underpass project at a cost of Rs 2.52 billion was near completion while construction work of 25 k.m. Canal Expressway from Gattwala Bridge to Sahianwala Inter Change at a cost of Rs 6 billion was being completed speedily and it would be made operational during the next month.
He also informed about the development status of Children Hospital, Govt. General Hospital Haseeb Shaheed Colony, Faisalabad Link road development programme and other development programmes. CPO informed that under the vision of CM Punjab, front desk had been established in 24 police stations out of 41 in the district and Information Technology experts staff had been deputed at these desks. CTO informed that Challan Information and Management System had been introduced to avoid any fraud regarding depositing of challan fee.
