All you can test: free tool to check HDs and storage devices

30 May, 2016

If you feel like one of your hard drives isn't working like it's supposed to, there's an easy tool to help you track any potential problems. Whether it's for USB sticks, SD cards, solid-state drives (SSDs) or regular hard disks, the free program H2testw will let you know what condition your storage device is in, no matter what type it is.
The tool not only detects potential disk errors, but also evaluates whether the storage capacity specified by the manufacturer corresponds to the actual one.
Before using the software to test their drive's memory, users should make sure the drive is either empty or that a backup of it's data has already been made.
This is because H2testw will first write data in order to read and check it afterwards.
