Rajputana Hospital to start liver transplant facility

The management of Rajputana Hospital has decided to introduce the facility of liver transplant. It was announced at a seminar on liver transplant, organised by the management of Rajputana Hospital Hyderabad here the other day which followed by free outdoor patients service to the patients of Hepatitis-C with provision of free of cost medicines to them.
Around 250 patients were examined by eminent physicians of Hyderabad and Senior Surgeon Sir Ganga Ram Hospital New Delhi Dr Namesh N Mehta, who was specially invited by the management of Rajputana Hospital Hyderabad to discuss the establishment of a facility of liver transplants.
The chairman organising committee of Hepatitis-C and Liver Transplant Rajputana Hospital Syed Yawar Ali Shah while addressing the participants of the seminar informed that the hospital management has requested Dr Namesh N Mehta to conduct liver transplant after completion of all arrangements by the hospital management with the support of philanthropists.
He thanked the Chairman of Rajputana Federation and Hospital Hyderabad Goharullah, who is also the President of Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, for extending full support to the hospital management in respect to the provision of liver transplant facility in the hospital. The Administrator Rajputana Hospital Hyderabad in his address, announced the setting up of a new gastrology ward under the supervision of senior gastrologist Dr Muhammad Akram Bajwa, who also conducts OPD from 2 pm to 4 pm in a week on every Thursday.
Eminent gastrologist Dr Akram Bajwa informed that around 150 million people of the country are suffering hepatitis diseases. In Sindh, he informed that Sindh Chief Minister's Initiative for Hepatitis Control Programme is being carried out but due to lack of awareness, the hepatitis patients are experiencing great difficulties for getting their proper treatment.
