On Wednesday, at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange (PMEX), value traded was PKR 5,244 million and the number of lots traded was 11,595. PMEX Commodity Index closed at 2,831. Major business was contributed by currencies through COTS amounting to PKR 2,533 million, followed by gold PKR 1,917 million, crude PKR 666.64 million, silver PKR 124.03 million and cotton PKR 2.32 million.
