The operation of Hyderabad Electric Supply Company's special recovery teams continued on Tuesday. The teams disconnected 600 power connections on charge of non-payment of outstanding dues in different parts of its region. The HESCO spokesman said here on Tuesday that special recovery teams carried out operations in Nawabshah, Sanghar, Daur, Sakrand, Qazi Ahmed, Mirpurkhas, Matli, Badin, Thatta, Umerkot and others parts of the region.
The teams also unearthed thousands of illegal connections in these areas, the spokesman said adding that a team headed by Executive Engineer Sanghar also removed four power transformers of different range of the KVA in different parts of Sanghar and also recovered dues amounting Rs 0.865 million from the defaulters. On Monday, the recovery teams also carried out operations in Qasimabad, Hirabad, Citizen Colony and Shaheed Umaid Ali Sub-Division of Operation Cricle-I Hyderabad where 280 power connections were disconnected on charge of non-payment of outstanding dues. The teams also recovered dues amounting to Rs 0.680 million from the defaulters.
