BISP warns people of fraudulent elements

People must be vigilant of fraudulent elements, who are trying to sell fake survey forms of Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP). BISP has not started its resurvey yet and no survey forms are being distributed by the organisation, said Naeem Anwar, Director General BISP Sindh during his visit to the BISP Divisional Office Hyderabad. Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) is all set to initiate the pilot phase of new poverty survey after Ramazan followed by national roll out in January 2017.
To make new poverty survey accurate and dynamic, two different approaches - desk approach (self registration) and door-to-door approach - will be adopted in the pilot phase districts. The door-to-door approach will be used in 12 pilot districts while desk approach will be utilised in the rest of four pilot districts. "The survey will provide an opportunity to more vulnerable people across the country to become eligible for the BISP benefits including unconditional cash transfer Programme," the DG Said.
