Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has directed Provincial Cabinet Committee on Price Control from London that elected representatives and provincial administrations should spare no effort for providing relief to the people in Ramazan bazaars under Ramazan package and provision of quality essential items to the masses at fixed rates should be ensured.
He said that price lists should be displayed prominently in Ramazan bazaars and the sale of edible items at fixed rates be ensured. He said that there should not be shortage of essential commodities in Ramazan bazaars and no compromise be made on the quality. Shahbaz Sharif directed that stern action should be taken against hoarders and profiteers. He said that price control magistrates should keep a vigilant eye on the prices of daily use items in the province. The Chief Minister directed that provincial ministers, secretaries and divisional and district officers should pay surprise visit to Ramazan bazaars to check quality and prices of daily use items.
