On the instruction of Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, provincial government has decided to enhance subsidy on gram pulse and gram flour in Ramadan Bazaars and prices of these items will be further reduced by Rs 10 in Ramadan bazaars. This decision will be implemented in Ramadan bazaars throughout the province and gram pulse and gram flour will now be available at Rs 20 per kg below the market price.
The Chief Minister while issuing instructions to provincial cabinet committee on price control from London said that indiscriminate action should be continued against hoarders and profiteers and no one will be allowed to exploit the masses. He said that all essential items should be available in abundance in Ramadan bazaars and no compromise will be made on their quality. He further directed that all possible steps should be taken for the provision of relief to the citizens. He said that people will directly benefit from decrease in the prices of gram pulse and gram flour.
